Assassin's Creed Origins

1 player
Action Adventure Open World RPG and Stealth game

Worked on the game from November 2017 to August 2018
(10 months)

My main mandate was to be in charge of many side quests in Alexandria, but I quickly impressed my superiors and was very efficient, so I inherited some other side quests to help some peers that were having difficulty with their workload. I was then given a main quest, which was unusual for a junior and a great mark of trust. Later, I also took charge of a special side quest which was a collaboration with Square Enix. I also debugged for a bit more than a month the side quests in the Yamu Territory, which are not included in this page.

Saqqara Nome Territory :

- Special Side Quest "A Gift from the Gods" (Square Enix collaboration for FFXV crossover)

For this quest, I had weekly reviews with Square Enix to make sure that the quest was always approved by them, in addition of normal reviews with my director. I had to design a puzzle that was the right balance of difficulty for our large player base, which involved observation and logic. Basically, looking at a fresca, you could determine that something would happen at certain hours of the day at a nearby sundial. When you were there at the right hour, you saw three pillars open with three different crystals, numbered 1, 3, 5. All you had to do was to shoot the crystals to make a sum of 15 (In reference to Final Fantasy XV). I also included some Final Fantasy references in the Present Day.

Alexandria Territory :

- Main Quest "The Aftermath"

The main challenge with this quest was to create a specific path for Aya to take, where she parkours over the wall and gets past guards. I also had to ensure a smooth transition between cinematics and set up a fight between guards and Apollodorus. There was also a switch of world layers to allow access by a different path to the tomb of Alexander the Great.
